It's been terribly hot the past month. Hot doesn't even describe it. 100+ for what seems like weeks!!!! This week the good Lord provided us respite from the heat and we got some rain too. We took the opportunity that the cooler weather provided and headed outside! We visited the TN safari park in Alamo. Otherwise known as the redneck zoo. That's what I call it at least.... Anytime monkeys are kept in old cotton trailers and a giraffe lives in a barn, I'd call that redneck! ;) we had fun and the kids loved feeding the animals. Though, Anna Kate was VERY unsure each time they came up to the window. She would scoot closer to me until she was finally just in my lap!
