The kids had fun trick or treating in our new neighborhood. It was freezing this year on Halloween! Barnes was a Star Wars storm trooper, Anna Kate was cinderwewwa, and Celia was a baby owl. Brad and I got to head out to fedex forum to see Eric Church after the family fun was over. We had a great Halloween too!

And now you are --FOUR
Anna Kate Perry you are four. Where did the last four years go? Your rambunctious, rebellious spirit has fine tuned itself into a more refined, creative flair. You are so smart and love to work on school work, sight words and anything artsy. Playdoh, crafts and painting are a few of your favorite things. You like dressing up and want your hair to be pretty.
This year has been a tough year of transition. A new city, new house, new school, a new schedule where Barnes is gone everyday. This has been the hardest change for you. You miss your brother so much each day. You love your new school and I'm told by your teachers that you are so well behaved at school. You learned how to swim this year and had surgery to get ear tubes. All big changes for someone so small.
Im thankful for your loving spirit and ingenuity and independence. I know they will serve you well in the future. Im happy and blessed to be your mommy and can't wait to see what you conquer in this great big world! I love you so much!!

My last baby is ONE
Cecilia Frances, you are one. What an eventful first year it's been. From a move to a new city, to all your sweet firsts and being the most loved (read: smothered) baby ever... You have taken it all in stride and you are such a joy to our family. Not only did you complete our family of five, you also grew our hearts bigger than we thought they could be. You are always happy, always. You love puffs, squash and crackers, you eat constantly, crawl faster than most babies can walk and adore your siblings. You give huge open mouth kisses, clap your hands together and dance to music. I'm relishing these days before you start to walk and get too busy to want me to hold you. You are such a precious angel and I'm thankful to be your mommy. Happy Birthday, baby girl.
Here's to 40 years!
I was so thrilled to have the privilege to help co-host an amazing birthday celebration for Brad and his two best friends, Robert and Mark. We hired a great country music artist from our hometown (who's going to be a huge star one day and has a record deal in Nashville), had food, cake and lots of fun with family and friends. Here's to 100 more honey, we adore you!
My big Kindergartener
We have had a hectic summer to say the least. We moved in may, unpacked all of June, moved into a hotel in July because of a leak, started Kindergarten in August, and Preschool in September. Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it. And that doesn't even include the three birthdays in August and a kitchen renovation we have undertaken!
The biggest part of our summer was Barnes starting Kindergarten. He has a sweet teacher and we love his school so far. He begged to ride the bus and I promised he could give it a try after a month. So I kept my word and he has been riding the bus to and from school. I was not ready for this milestone but he has been so excited everyday. Here's to the class of 2027!
Beach babies
We were fortunate enough to spend 12 days at the beach. We had such a great time and had lots of fun splashing in the pools and digging in the sand. Barnes loved jumping on the lily pads on the small ropes course over the pool, Anna Kate loved going down the slide in the baby pool and Celia loved the beach. She crawled around for 2-3 hours each time we took her. She does not get her love of sand from her mommy!
