Singing for Jesus!

Barnes had his year end program l a couple weeks ago. He had missed over two weeks of school prior to the week of the program. Gammie was in the hospital so we were out of town A lot. I had told Brad that I felt bad because he probably wouldn't know many of the words to the songs.

The day before the program he told me he was going to sing LOUD! I told him, okay! Mommy and Daddy can't wait to see you sing songs about Jesus! Well... I had NO CLUE that he would sing the way he did. The first song started and he sang a little bit then by the second verse, he was into it. He would yell at the end of every verse. I got tickled as we were watching him and I couldn't stop laughing. I literally laughed until I cried! He was so funny, yelling all the words at the end of the verse. But I was proud too, how could I not be? He told me he was going to sing loud! I am thankful that we have a school where the kids can sing for Jesus. It's such a sweet thing for us to watch. :)

And now you are Four

Happy Birthday my sweet little boy! I can't even begin to convey how special you've made my life in the four years since you came into this world. I was amazed at the miracle you were on the day you were born... But the last four years have shown me so much about the miracle of day to day life. Small things show me that the most special things are the little moments I share with you on a daily basis. Times like when you wake from a nap and just want to be quiet and snuggle. Or when we make cookies together and when you help me water the flowers. I love when you get excited about something you did at school or when you paint me a picture. YOU bring joy to my life each day. Mommy is so proud of the big boy you are becoming.

This year you made some pretty big steps in your life:

1. You started preschool at First Presbyterian Playschool on Tuesday's and Thursday's. It was a big transition for us but you have done so well!
2. We moved into our new house this year! It was a big change in your little life.
3. You played tball for the first time and were part of a team.
4. You got a bicycle and learned how to ride it.

We are so proud to see you continue to grow and be so independent each day. But at the same time, seeing my baby grow up and need me less has been hard on mommy. But most of all, you are growing into your own person and finding your way in this world with our help and guidance. I love you Barnes Perry! Happy Birthday! We had a big time at your monster truck birthday party!

Spring River Fun!

We went on a fun trip this weekend with our BFFs! Canoeing in Hardy, AR is a ton of fun when it's with my favorite people. :)

Playschool 2011-2012

My sweet boy started his first year of Playschool this past September. Playschool is the preschool at First Presbyterian Church. We have been so pleased by all that Barnes has learned and in all the ways he has grown this year. I must say, I was not ready to let him go when September came around. But he has enjoyed school so much. With the exception of a few days (maybe weeks) he's looked forward to school each day. Even on days that he says he doesn't want to go, he is always happy when I pick him up and excited to tell me what he learned. Whether its singing silly songs, working on his PEP box, or creating beautiful artworks, he always has fun learning. The teachers at Playschool have been such a blessing and I think they've helped lay a fabulous foundation for learning. Way to go BBP!!!

Crazy May!

We have had a crazy month! With tball, mom recovering at our house, and end of school year activities we have been busy!!! Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks. We sure are glad that Gammie is better and getting stronger each day. She gave us a scare!
