Perry, party of FIVE!
Cecilia Frances Perry
Born August 5, 2013
7:50am
9lbs 3ozs 21in
We're so excited to welcome baby Celia into our lives! She came into this world with lots of black hair and navy blue eyes! She was already so loved when she made her debut but she is the most loved baby I know now that the kids have grown to adore her even more. They beg to hold her all the time and hug her and kiss her and rub her soft little head. They call her baby Bacillia and rush to see her every morning. Celia is sleeping well and even slept 6+ hours one night last week. She makes the sweetest baby sounds, you forget those little coos and grunts and tiny cries over time. Even if its only been 2+ years since you last had a newborn. We forget how teeny their hands are and how sweet that baby smell is. Anna Kate says, Yummy!!" Every time she smells the baby. She just adores her so much.
I have to say, life with 3 versus 2 hasn't been too stressful. I'm thankful for a sweet husband and mom to help me each day. And for sweet friends bringing us dinner. It helps out so much!
We love you, Celia and are so happy to have you complete our family!

7 days...
Baby Cecilia Frances (Celia) will be here soon! I must say its just flown by in a way I've never experienced. Maybe because she's the third and I have the other two to keep me so busy... Or because you only focus on the needs of your children and don't think much about yourself once you have multiple children... Or maybe I'm just so brain dead from having children the last 5+ years that time seems to just speed by faster.
Whatever the reason, I feel like it was just a few short weeks ago that we were in Nashville December 8, 2012 on the train ride with Santa and I kept wondering why I was getting nauseous as we were riding the train. Well, the next day produced a test with pink lines and lots more nauseousness followed after that. 24 weeks of nauseousness to be exact.
Im thankful for this third blessing to complete our family. Barnes and Anna Kate are so beyond thrilled about their new sister. Anna Kate calls her baby Bacillia and Barnes still calls her Brownie. Not sure what this sweet girl will end up being called but I know she will be loved by precious little hands and patts and hugs and kisses. Barnes understands what it means to bring home a new baby. Anna Kate doesn't understand it but she's started mothering all her baby dolls and calls them Bacillia. She seeks out babies at stores or restaurants and tells everyone she has a baby in her tummy.
I'm nervous as I remember how much work a new baby brings to a family. But when I see Barnes and Anna Kate play together and love each other, I know it will be all worth it. Just to add another sweet sister to the mix will be a great blessing and they won't ever remember a time without her.
I'm going to try and spend as much quality Funtime with them this week. I know they'll adjust fine but sometimes not getting to see mommy during the new baby haze is tough on little ones.
I feel immensely blessed by great health and high energy during this pregnancy and that the weather has been a dream! What a glorious Summer to be pregnant. I'm very blessed by wonderful family and friends who have done everything imaginable to help me this summer. Whether it was going to the dr with me in an emergency situation, helping me decorate and redecorate rooms in my home, washing all of the baby clothes and organizing them better than I could ever imagine. I'm a lucky girl to have so many people in my life that lift me up and help me.
Dear Lord, I pray for my family. That you make us stronger once again by welcoming a new one into our fold. That you bless this child with strength and tenderness, that she be smart and special and loving. Thank you for all your many blessings. Those blessings we see in our everyday lives and blessings that go unseen. In ways that you direct our steps in situations where you work in our favor. All knowing of the plan you have set forth in our lives. Bless this tiny child and turn her heart to you Lord.
My greatest blessing!
As I lay here tonight, I'm overwhelmed by the many blessings I've been given in this life.
But my most special blessing without a doubt is my precious husband. Without him, none of my other blessings are a reality. He has helped me create the two most important parts of my world. As we prepare for our third precious child to enter the world in just seven days I'm thankful most of all for him. He is a partner, a friend, my love, my helpmate and my companion. He is patient and faithful and kind. I have asked so much of him in the last few months. Projects every weekend to get ready for baby to arrive.
Thank you honey, for all you've done to help make this transition a smooth one. So that Anna Kate has her own room, so that Barnes had a great birthday and a new basketball goal put together, so the 3rd garage is snake free and cleaned out, that the flowers get enough water so I don't have to get out and water them everyday, so that baby Celia has a perfectly cool room with a fan to sleep in, so that mom has a tv hooked up when she's here for a while, so that the playroom is a fun place to play, so that the new patio set is put together. Honestly, I've had a never ending list of TO DO'S!!
Thank you for loving me so well and tackling each project with patience and love. You're an example to me and to the children everyday. We love you to the moon and back again.
You're our biggest blessing.

Big catch!
We went fishing on Sunday. This was the first time Anna Kate has gone fishing. She took her purple Dora fishing pole with her. It is just a learning pole and has a casting weight on the end of it to help them learn to cast. Daddy got us all set up and she was having fun casting for quite a while. And she was good at casting. She would reel it in and cast it again. Then Barnes started catching a few fish and daddy caught a couple. Then she came over to me with hurt little eyes and said, "me no catch fish" so sad she felt left out. So daddy let her fish with his pole and within a few minutes she had caught a fish. She was so happy and sweet with the fish. We let it go and she continued to catch fish with daddy. The last thing she told me at bedtime that night was, how she caught a Teeny fish and he had gone back to his mommy and daddy. Precious baby girl had fun fishing with the boys and catching a fish made her feel special too.

They're similar... But different.
I went to check on the kids and found them sleeping in identical positions. They do lots of things a like. I'd say they're related.
